Thinking about jumping on that sale from AiH but the lack of the NSF stamp makes me a little nervous.  Would it make you nervous?

I completely understand how lack of the NSF stamp could make you feel uncomfortable.  I am slowly switching all of my ball valves over American-made Apollo 76F stainless steel ball valves because they are NSF certified and the Chinese ball valves are not.

From AIH:

Q: Why are these kegs void of the NSF label? Are the welds bad or construction incorrect?
Asked by: Cholo - 1/28/2015
A: They are the exact same kegs, from the same manufacturer. We committed to a few orders of kegs, before they added the nsf stamp.

On stuff from China the certification doesn't mean much to me (my belief is that it is just as easy to counterfeit the certification).  More important are the reviews from those brave enough to buy before me.

These guys have an ebay store, but will do better on qty if you just call them.  I got 8 about a year or so ago, cant remember what I paid but it was a good deal, in the 30's somewhere I think for converted cokes with pull ring.

My active hyperlink tool wont work right now, again.

Its getting to the point that I am ready to switch over to Sanke kegs.  You can get the 7.75 gallon for around 100 bucks.....http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/empty_kegs/quarter_slims/HS-K7.75G-DDI.shtml  So it will only take two kegs to keg 15 gallons of beer vs. three corny kegs.  I could sell my three used corny kegs and buy two new sanke kegs! Very tempting....

I'm not familiar with sanke connectors (I know what they are just haven't used them) but I am wondering how hard it would be to turn that into a fermentor? Remove the connector and you have a ss 7.5 gal container.

Opening a sanke keg is a little more involved than opening a corny.

Harder to clean, too, I believe.  Unless you have a keg washer.

I use the 1/2bbl sanke kegs as fermentors. Probably the best homebrewing decision I have ever made!!  Super easy to clean. I just use a cheap pump with a drilled and capped sprinkler riser in a bucket of PBW.  Put the keg over it and walk away!!

Man, that's a good price for a new 5-gallon keg.
A friend of mine just had to send one of these back...some rust on the inside. So make sure to inspect them when you get them, you may be sending them back for a replacement.

Purchased 3 new kegs from AIH and am really happy with them. They are in perfect shape (no rust) and couldn't beat the price when my LHBS wanted 90 for used ball locks.

Really happy with them.  Just got everything in the mail today to get the system up and running!

Cheers.

I picked up 2 on a Friday night. Opened them and there were no posts on either. Went back on Sunday, and when we came through the door the one lady we know said "2?" and was on her way to the warehouse section  before we got to the counter. Those were pulled from the wrong stack, she wasn't sure why one stack did not have posts.

Y'all need to quit posting about cheap new kegs! I certainly don't need anymore of these dang things.  ::)  I think last count had us at 24 total, if you count the scary pin lock that sits by the furnace.
