If and when I go all grain it will be with SS (I've got problems).
Of course, but when those manufacturers of the coolers state that they don't recommend you use them for hot liquids it makes me wonder why.
You're right, at least both Igloo and Rubbermaid get very vague and just say they haven't been tested for use with hot liquids.

This is even after listening to a toxicologist on the Better Brewing podcast. If and when I go all grain it will be with SS (I've got problems).
Denny's done something like a million batches in his cooler and he'll probably outlive us all.
