Where can I Get Pliny in San Diego?
« on: December 23, 2014, 06:04:53 pm »
I will be in San Diego this weekend and would like to get my hands on a Pliny draft and a few bottles of Pliny if possible. It doesn't appear that BevMo carries Russian River.

Can someone point me in the right direction to find Pliny this weekend?

Toranado on 30th, had it there on draft. For bottles someone from SD needs to say.

No bevmo. They will not keep it cold.

We're staying in Carlsbad/Oceanside and will go to San Diego (the city) at some point too.

I thought Russian River Brewing kept a list of vendors on the website. Did you check there?

What should I expect to pay for a bottle of Pliny?

$3.99 is normal retail. Bars would be double. At least it was last May when I bought a bunch at Whole Foods in the east bay.

I dumped the list from RR and added phone numbers for the San Diego area. I'll call around tomorrow in hopes of finding it on tap and in the bottle.

I'm giddy.

Try Pizza Port Carlsbad, might be a guest tap. Good brewpub too.

It's a great DIPA... and just goes to show some of the unrealistic pricing out there.  Pliny is a world class beer, yet affordable.

If you have some time on your hands...Make a trip out to Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido.  They have a great selection with a giant walk in fridge sorted by style.

I would have loved to have this info back in august when we were in San Diego and Escondido. Hit several breweries, but finding some nice bottles to go would have been great also
