I'm sure they have three handles at every Applebee's. Lager, Rebel, Seasonal.

Edit - Sam light in bottles.

See he just went to a wrong place.

The article could have been about how they are in all chain restaurants and main street is now craft street.

Also did not go to Applebee's, Perkins and like for long time.

Now imagine the article in Applebee's settings.
"He walks in the cooler and looks over the beer selection. He smiles hugs his kegs and returns to have another SA from multipack".

I was hanging out with the marketing guys from SA at a bar when they came to Florida to help with the Longshot competition several years ago.  They said that if a bar had SA available then they were obligated to order it.  If not they could drink whatever they wanted.

That's pretty funny.

That makes a lot of sense and as I thought about it, I believe the tied-house system was brewery ownership of bars, which then served only the brewery products.  Some of these old buildings still exist in Chicago as bars (some are restaurants).  Typically, the front has Schlitz or something emblazoned on the building.  The buildings themselves are quite attractive.

There's one of those Schiltz bars for sale by the Metra tracks in Pullman, just up the street from the Argus Brewery. It would make a cool tap house for them, but I'll bet the zoning and demographics are against them. Apparently that side of the tracks was a whole string of bars in Pullman's heyday, as George Pullman didn't allow alcohol on his side of the tracks.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Angry Orchard is exactly as meh as Boston Lager.

I had some awesome ciders in Europe and it's a shame you can't really buy ciders like that here. The Sonoma Cider Anvil was pretty good though. Definitely one of the best ciders I've had in the States.

I read that article a few days ago and Koch definitely comes off as a psycho. I've read that since billionaires basically have hit the ceiling of what being rich can give them, they start to care a lot about how much people like them and respect their work. See also all the incredibly thin-skinned billionaire bankers on Wall Street who threw temper tantrums when people weren't constantly congratulating them for breaking the economy.
