I call it BS.
Me too!

I don't see anything in the two that I would confuse even in a poorly dim lit po-dunck bottle shop, the standard layouts of each label alone tell me who's brand is whose. SN has their iconic green shade and elaborate label, Lagunitas has their square white and as far as I'm concerned IPA is a beer style, not a trademark font. I never met the man but I say shame on Tony:(

I didn't really like their beers much or Tony's swagger, but now I am even less impressed.  what a douche.

Anyone listen to the most recent "Sunday Session" on the brewing network..... Tony is the interview and it seems to be an interview before any of this really came to light.... or just as it came to light.   In the context of this lawsuit and dismissal of lawsuit the whole interview is just weird.

Starts right away at 10 minutes in for a bit on trademark and how everyone is friendly and you never really need to file a suit, etc.  There is the obligatory 10-15 minutes of stuff not really related to beer, etc.   But then they come back and talk to tony about the lauganita's story and he is praising sierra nevada, etc.  It was kind of a cool interview overall, until you put it in context with this whole situation.  Just odd.

That shows man's character. Let's blow the sunshine while you stab them in the back. Well done.

My thought is that they never intended to do anything further with this and that the whole thing was just a PR move. If so, it seems to have worked since we're all talking about it.

I'm very curious to see if this gets mentioned in Beer News on the next Session, and what everyone thinks about it.

One possibility is he received bad advice from the lawyers.

If it was just PR stunt I knew they had IPA before and I know they have IPA now. Before I would entertain idea of buying some of their beers. Now I will not buy their beers.

Well done Tony.
