Trying to find full lines of Thomas Fawcett malts...
« on: January 21, 2015, 08:37:48 am »
Cannot seem to locate Thomas Fawcett Crystal 85L, and a number of other specialty malts. Looked at most of the online HBS... suggestions? - Going to attempt a Black Sheep Brewery Riggwelter soon. I contacted Country Group and seem to have missed a homebrewer program they used to have.

I can order through a brewery, but will have to buy a full bag. That is a LOT of crystal and pale chocolate.

They call it Dark Crystal I (83-90L).  I get it from one of my LHBS (Brew & Grow) and you could probably order it online there.  I see it on Farmhouse Brewing Supplies and Chicago Brew Werks sites as well.

Edit:  Brew & Grow carries the following from TF & S:

MO
Pale Crystal
Crystal I & II
Dark Crystal I & II
Brown
Amber
Pale Choc

Maryland Homebrew stocks Thomas Fawcett (TF) Pale Chocolate Malt.  I use an once or two to color my British-style ales.

Maryland Homebrew also stocks TF Amber,  TF Brown, TF Crystal II, TF Golden Promise, TF Maris Otter, TF Peat, TF Pearl, and TF Rye.
