You sell everything in your house that doesn't fit in a truck but the only things that bring in any cash are brewing equipment. (true story)

...the frosty mugs in your freezer aren't for drinking out of but for chilling down wort samples to determine preboil gravity because you don't own a refractometer.

... your sister asks "why do you dress the fermenters?".  Then you have to explain why you stole the kid's painting shirts so you can keep light out of your beer.  Any answer to this question is met with shock and a look of disgust.

... you no longer invite you sister to your house.

... Half of the conversation with the Culligan water softener sales guy is about how the system will affect your brewing water and you know more about water chemistry than he does.

and number one for me, at least, you tell guests you're sorry that you only have 3 on tap this week because life got in the way of your brewing schedule.

...you have about 30 pillow cases with a hole cut for an airlock to cover carboys for aging mead. All pillow cases with no hole cut for an airlock are on your pillows.
