Well that's a first!

Brewed a saison yesterday. Let it cool to pitching temps over night. Got up this AM, sanitized my aeration stone, got my thermowell cleaned up the heat wrap installed, aerated. Done! Good, smooth brewday.

Problem is, here I am at 4pm in the afternoon, sitting down ready to pull a pint and I just realized ... I forgot to pitch the yeast!!! Dho! how stoopid is that? :(

I once held a Belgian tasting (back before we really had any good selection in the state) and had made two beers that day. Woke up in a cold sweat the next morning worrying I had forgotten to pitch the yeast only to find they were happily fermenting away. Two lessons learned - don't drink too much before pitching yeast, you don't have to drink every beer in your possession at one sitting  ;)

lol! Yeah, I pitched it. And Dixon, the really bad thing was I hadn't been drinking anything but coffee!! Had I been drinking at least I would have had a legitimate excuse!
