Super Bowl
« on: January 31, 2015, 11:00:35 pm »
Having been raised a Niner fan since birth, what I am going to say next is very tough.

I am backing the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

I hate Pete Carroll, I hate the Seahawks, I hate seeing back to back Champions, but Tom Brady's lying grin has made me switch sides. I don't care about the cheating, only the way Brady handled it with his sly politician style responses. I want to see him cry.

Go Hawks. I think I just puked in my mouth a little.

I haven't been following sports closely the past few years and won't bother going somewhere with a TV to watch the super bowl. That being said I always root for the home team and would go watch or listen on the radio if any other Boston team were on the verge of a championship. But the pats I just don't like anymore. At the beginning of the bellichick /Brady era they came off as confident and professional. Now they just seem smug. I like the way some Seahawks are challenging the NFL stupid rules. Also I thought it was BS how Sherman was treated by the press when he went off last year. Larry Bird said stuff like that all the time during the playoffs. He was called passionate  and competitive and Sherman gets called a thug? I'm not rooting for Seattle but don't care if the pats lose.
Don't let the bastards cheer you up.

-1 in vegas  says this game they are looking to get bets on both sides to even out what they think will be either teams game to win or lose.

i'm taking hawks by at least 3....perhaps 6.

Its Meh Day for me. Superbowl is just an excuse to eat snack foods and drink beer, which I don't need much of an excuse to do anyway.

I will probably watch. Rooting wise, I hope either of these happen.
1. Seattle wins by 300 to 0. Death nail for the cheaters
Or
2. Cheaters win by 300 and get caught cheating red handed, and the NFL doesn't do anything about it. Death nail for the league

The best part of the Super Bowl was just aired.  The president posing with his actively bubbling carboy, sipping White House homebrew.  Regardless of any political views, I enjoyed this!

I'm more impressed that someone can maintain their composure while being hoisted up to those heights with a giant sparkler - from - hell burning directly over their head.
