Scenes from Boston today.  Unfortunately I had to work so I couldn't attend but I did see the one in 2002.

Congratulations man.

I have a nasty taste
from a bit of hurl in the back of my mouth.

But dang,as a fan of football,
that really was an excellent Superbowl.   8)

The football on the trophy looks a little deflated.

The football on the trophy looks a little deflated.
It's the temperature and humidity. Science.

Sorry I missed what you said.  The Hall of Fame was calling so loud I could make your stuff out.  ;D

11 out of 12 balls were under by 2 psi Mortensen? Idiot! How about 1 ball (the one that was taken back to the Indy sideline and stored away by their equipment manager) and the other 10 in question were a couple ticks under.

The media has tried to make something out of nothing and the NFL is going to look like a bunch of fools when they have to bow down and kiss Kraft's rings ( all 4 of them!).

Suck it Goodell, Aikman, Montana, Collinsworth, Carter...and the list goes on.

I don't know about Goodell being on that list. He has his nose so far up Kraft and Jones' rears that he won't let anything happen to either of them. They are the money teams of the NFL. Baseball has the Yankees, football has the Pat's and Cowboys.

As a long time Pats fan can I just say how weird it is to have my team - the same pathetic org that backed into their first Super Bowl on special teams and turnovers before getting decimated by the Bears - is now considered by some as the "New York Yankees" of the NFL? The Red Sox fan in me bristles at that but at the same time, I feel like their success now (along with the Sox) is making up for all the crushing defeats of my childhood.

An interesting thing for me is after being a lifelong Boston sports fan all the success the last 15 years has contributed to a waning interest in watching sports. Maybe I identified with the underdog. Careful what you wish for Cubs fans.

Pete Carroll being interviewed by Matt Lauer yesterday. The link is queued up to avoid the mushy crap.

Something struck me while watching. After every play the ball ends up in the hands of at least one of the officials yet in the deflate-gate game not a one of them noticed any of the balls were underinflated.
