Am I right it's a Dunkel-ish lager ?  I haven't been to the Hofbrauhaus in Newport for a while -  need to get down there, like in the spring.

right. more sweet malt than dunkel, yet very crisp and refreshing.  we do a trip every year to cinci/newport on the harley. the best Hofbräuhaus outside of Munich IMO. We just got one in Cleveland-very nice and its always packed. Dont ever waste your time on the one in Vegas...poor representation and food quality.

I've heard the same about Vegas. Love Newport. That lager sounds great, btw.

Never had one from any of the Haufbraus, but the one that Klosterbraeu in Bamberg makes is very tasty.

Good to know about the location in Vegas. I've driven by it several times but never made it over.

I did visit the one in south beach in Lincoln Mall. Some sausage a liter of crisp lager really hit the spot in the damp heat.

yeah that miami location (Hofbräu Beer Hall) is their version of the smaller scale full blown Hofbräuhaus locations.  lets them put their beer and a restaurant in locations on a much smaller scale.

Well at least their beers aren't  ;)  That's a pretty looking beer. If I don't get down there this month, it'll be soon.
