So I am in the process of purchasing several new editions to my brewery this week. Not being very mechanically inclined I usually buy electronic type items. So I want to get a new temperature controller for my mini fridge and I am pretty sure I am going to go with the Johnson Digital controller.

Have you guys used in the past or still use the Johnson controller that isn't digital? Not that the digital ones are much more $$, I am just curious how well they work.

i have the digital JC and works great-no issues over last 3 years.

I haven't used one but something to consider is that the analog Johnson controller has a set differential of 3.5 degrees, whereas you can adjust the differential on the digital controller (down to a minimum of 1 degree).

I have an analog Johnson controller on my keezer.  Seems to work well keeping the beer at the right temperature.  I haven't check the accuracy though.

I have Johnson digital (2) and the auber instruments one linked above, both work great but having heat and cooling in one unit is very nice with the auber

I use analog for controlling fridge/freezer temp and digital for controlling fermentation vessel temps.

The best I've found is the Auber TD-100 and it's considerably cheaper than anything but a build it yourself STC.

That auber controller may have just changed my mind. That thing seems amazing!
