The Zymatic has landed!
« on: February 19, 2015, 09:40:20 am »
Received the Zymatic demo unit yesterday.  I'm working through how to use it and hopefully I'll brew with it this weekend or early next week.  Should be a real learning experience!

Definitely looking forward to your honest review.  I am interested in the advantages and disadvantages of this system.

With the winter we are having this year, I definitely need a system for brewing inside.  I haven't brewed since the end of November.

Can you post a shot with a shaker pint for scale when you have time?

Turns out wifi is required to use it.  That means I'll be brewing in the house, not the garage.  Also, you need to build recipes using their online software and then d/l them to the Zymatic.  It's VERY different than what I'm used to.

At least not in the next few brews, Leos.  This thing is very cool technologically.  It will be interesting to see if it's worth it.  OTOH, they recognize there's a kind of specialized market for it.  People who are short on time are ine segment.  Also, they've had disabled people buy them and now they can brew.  I think that's pretty cool.

Cool!  It's a real adjustment to my way of thinking.  I only realized last night that it had to be a no sparge system!  Yeah, I'm a but slow sometimes...
