Yellow Profile Blocks
« on: March 02, 2015, 11:25:50 am »
I noticed on the left side every post has the user name and a set of yellow blocks. I thought the blocks related to the number of posts until recently. I see some that have less then 100 posts that have two or three blocks and others that have more than 3000 posts that only have one.
What do the yellow blocks represent?

I'm fairly certain they relate to staus or number of posts, but I'll have to go thrtough the admin settings to be certain.

Mysterious. I just looked at one of my posts and had five yellow blocks and the next post was by Hoosierbrew who has way more posts and is generally more active and he has only one yellow block. Maybe the more blocks the more times your right. ;)

Or it could be a flatulence meter.    ;)

In that case, I fear for the people that have red blocks. Does that mean they are ready to explode?   :o

You'll have to ask that to Denny. Maybe that zymatic is leaving behind the wrong enzymes...

I hadn't heard so did a little googling.
Found this:

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=451437.msg3153109#msg3153109

It says they are "stars", and should be set to the number of posts.

Don't know why some of our users have only two stars for over 2000 posts. Must be a setting inside the forum configuration.

EDIT: Tuns out the stars are part of what group you are in. So a "cellerman" has a different number of stars for the number of posts then the number for users in the group "I have no life".
At least I think that is what is happening.

Number of star images - Membergroups can have small images to appear below the group inside of posts made by members of the group. Here you can configure how many of these images you want to show for the group. This option is only shown when modifying an existing group
