Can you really make bacon any better than it already is? I find that hard to believe!!!

"Pig candy" is a popular thing among BBQers...basically thick bacon covered in brown sugar and walnuts, and then smoked. I've never tried it myself, seems like it would be difficult and messy, and I for one like to panfry my bacon, thus saving every sweet milliliter of that precious commodity, bacon grease!

What does it taste? Thinking about a bacon being candied sounds awful to me..doesn't fit right..

The wife uses maple syrup on hers.
Think of a big stack of pancakes w/maple syrup and a side order of bacon swimming in the syrup. MmmmMmmm

Along those lines:
1 pack little smokies, bacon cut in thirds, brown sugar.
Roll little smokies in brown sugar, wrap with bacon, roll in brown sugar again, bake at 350 til the bacon is crisp, about 20-30 min. Mmmmm, meat candy.

I'm thinking peanut brittle poured over crisp bacon.

I think he went into a bacon induced coma after enjoying his treat. Weaz is on the move this weekend I guess he should be there on Monday. FWIW I have not tried it yet!

I finally got my computer set up. I have not got to try the candied bacon yet. Going camping this weekend, so I may have to do it up in the mountains.
