That's great making varsity that young. My son had a very good experience playing tennis in high school and college. I hope it gives her a lot of happiness and good memories.
Don't let the bastards cheer you up.

Yeah good stuff. Got her into it at t-ball and she loved it. Then she just backed off it around 5th and so I just let her figure it out. She came back to it in 7th and just has some raw talent. Her summer league coach recruited her into his team every year because she had a big bat. She's 5'9" and has good strength. Looking forward to see how it all develops for her.

It's just good to be involved in something at that age.  She'll learn lessons, build character, make friends and memories she won't forget.

That's awesome, good for your daughter!

I can attest to the benefits of sports as well, my daughter has been playing travel soccer since she was 8 (12 now). Her independence, competitiveness, self assuredness is extremely high and she has developed long lasting friendships. She has also learned to take criticism well along with compliments Ina polite and adult manner.

I think kids and sports are a great combination in many aspects!
