Rust on False Bottom
« on: March 08, 2015, 08:03:16 am »
I noticed yesterday that an area of my false bottom is showing signs of rust (inside some of the small holes). What is the best way to remove this? I assume soaking in some Starsan as the holes are very small.

Barkeeper's Friend is good, but it might be hard to get in the holes. Try a past and let is set for a while, then clean off, let it air dry and the O2 in the air will passivate it .

probably made in china, so you're likely screwed. should be stainless steel and made in the good ol' USA.
