Transatlantique Kriek New Belgium & Oud Beersel

This beer pours a brilliant cranberry red with a little foam quickly dissipating into a
line of foam around the periphery of my glass.  Aroma is more like raspberry than cherry.
First little sip is tart and kind of low on the mouth feel.  Non descript fruity flavor that
makes you have to hunt for any cherry.  Sneaky 7% abv that also makes you hunt for
the alcohol warmth that is not present.... better be careful with this and have a designated
Driver around.  The foam ring clings to the edge of the glass and lasts quite a bit.  By the
2nd or 3rd ounce, you are enjoying the beer.  Before the end of that little 12 oz glass I was
feeling the 7% big time.  I would have another but definitely not a session brew.  A beer to be
shared with a friend.
