Austin results are posted.  I guess I'm excluded from judging category 9 this year in Finals.

Why Austin? Cuz they give everyone an award?

Of course I could look at it as I has 3 people less that I need to beat in the finals (assuming I get thru the first round).

In that category, no one advanced because the 1 entry apparently didn't score above a 30.  I picked Austin because they were closest to me, and I know they run a good comp.  Them judging first and having results posted already are just a bonus.  I'm not rebrewing my beer anyway.  About the only thing I could adjust would be carb level.

None of my beers made it, but my Bochet is advancing. Eric Lowe of Meridian Hive was judging - so really proud of that!

There were also some bottle problems with the ciders that were submitted. When we were sorting and unpacking some of the ciders came in flip tops, and one didn't seal right and sprayed cider on everyone as it was labeled. Not too many cider entries either.

Some people get VERY creative with their packing... duct tape and foam pipe insulation, one in a sealed homer bucket... I think Zymurgy needs to do an article on proper shipping and entry requirements every January before this comp.

They always put a link to the free article in the Rules and Regulations or FAQ.

If any if mine make it to the final round, I'll be shipping them to San Diego inside a Blichmann kettle.

Wow even after offering the 5th entry spot only 556 entries?
Almost sent my stuff there; wanted an early region since mine were ready. Looking fwd to seeing Nashville results...

I wouldn't be surprised to see that become the new normal.  With the way they do it now, it encourages people to register as many as they can even if they don't have something ready.  Then they wind up having some sort of issue and wind up not submitting any.

Saint Louis results are up.  My APA took 2nd place.  Frankly, I'm pretty surprised.
