Stained Silicone Tubing
« on: April 05, 2015, 07:03:58 am »
I made the mistake of not washing my silicone tubing from my most recently bottling and siphoning and have some green stained tubing.

I gave them a PBW soak for a day to no avail. Any other ideas? I'm thinking the color doesn't really matter much and won't affect future beers either way.

I would put silicone tubing in boiling water and then not worry about it.

Is this a best practice anytime using silicone tubing post-brewing?

Not normally needed, but boiling is the best way to be sure it's sanitized.
