Chris Rauschuber going pro...
« on: April 08, 2015, 01:23:46 pm »
Since a few of you have enjoyed his beers, either at club nights or in competitions, I thought I would pass this along. Apologies if this is perceived as an advertisement.

Chris and his lovely wife are venturing into the brewpub world. I am incredibly excited and their very detailed planning and approach should yield an amazing place for food and beer. They are planning to launch in 2016 in North Austin, and the line up will include many of Chris's great German style beers (and IPAs and... everything he brews seems to be outstanding!).

If you Facebook - search for The Brewtorium and Like their page to follow along and encourage them!

This is the last year Chris is submitting to homebrewing competitions - so if you are lucky, you might find a great dunkel or bock or helles from him in your flights!

Well, that's going to hurt the ZEALOTS medal standing.  You better step up your game, Matt.

He was my secret santa from a different forum this winter. I got a six pack of bombers. Dunkel, Schwartz, and Barley Wine. All three top notch commercial grade. I'm jealous and wished they were opening in the Gorge.

Yeah Toby... I need to brew more and comp more. He's a talented dude.

Jim... Can't have him. Good beer here in Austin... But few truly great beers. Chris is bringing is passion and "A" game - and Whitney will keep him on the line! I wish he would move South East of Austin, but will settle for weekend treks and the occasional long lunch!

There's a lot less competition on the north side and all those suburbs expanding on the north side. It's a great opportunity. I'm looking forward to getting down to Austin next year and checking them out.

I think between him and Schoppe, they enter more individually than my whole club does in most of the comps. lol
