Posting Pictures
« on: April 18, 2015, 05:49:23 am »
Currently I post pictures here using photo bucket. I have to attach my phone to a PC. It sucks, I would rather just use my android directly. I tried getting a photo bucket app but it said it doesn't fit on my phone which is BS because I have plenty of storage on my phone and have a memory card. What are you all doing about this vexing first world problem?

I upload here directly from my phone.
It's free and I don't need an account.

With Android it is easy. If you have a gmail account you also have all the other benefits such as photos (picassa). You can upload to your photos directly from your phone, open "photos" in a browser on your laptop, tablet or PC, find the pic and copy the url. I like to "open photo in another tab" because it displays only the photo.

I have multiple google accounts but for simplicity's sake I only use a main one on my Android phone and stay signed in all the time. Even better is to use Chrome and sync across all your devices- even the Windows based, but that's another topic.

I email the pic to my self, download the emailed pic to my laptop, then upload it from 'downloads' into Photobucket. No physical connection.

Using the Tapatalk app I just click the add image icon and choose an image to add.

Here I am in Times Square last night.

I upload from my iPhone to photobucket without having to connect my phone to my computer.  Maybe I'm misunderstanding your issue.

Some forums allow direct upload of pics from devices as attachments. This forum allows only for hosted images. Five years ago it made sense but now memory and processing are cheap and cloud-based. Attachments would keep images persistent and archivable. If you go back to old threads you will find some pictures missing as they have lost the host or been taken down from the host server for whatever reason.

Tapatalk app makes it easy peasy.  I really have not even tried to post from my laptop, I'm just not familiar enough with hosting sites
