Well, this happened.....
« on: April 22, 2015, 12:40:30 AM »
I've accepted the position of Brewery Ambassador for Oakshire Brewing in Eugene OR.  Tours, tasting, and education.  Spent the afternoon helping brew their flagship IPA to get a feel for how the brewhouse works.

Congrats! love me some Watershed:) first attempt at brewing that baby a few months ago from the "craft beer for the homebrewer" have some tweaking to do used carared instead of cararuby. that malt must make a difference.

I can tell you that the recipe has changed a bit since the book was published.  Let me check with Matt to see if I can release the new one.  But, yeah, that's one of my favorite IPAs anywhere.

That's awesome Denny. I heard the rumor at Best of Craft in January. Good for you! I now really like Oakshire

Cool beans... One question though.... I've always wondered if the Shire is really full of hobbits and how do you work around them?

What an awesome position.  And you're the perfect guy for it!  As I recall you were functioning informally in that position last Summer when my wife and I made it down to Eugene.  :)

I hope you get some large shoes. A brewery is no place for bare hobbit feet.
