That's sweet.  Just for reference, how big are those fermenters?  Could you fit a carboy or betterbottle in those fridges?

The buckets are 20.5" H x 12.5" W  , looks like you have about 6" to the bottom of the freezer...if that helps?

Is that 12.5" at the lid on or at the base? Looks like the vessel flares.

Thanks!

How are you planning to rack out the bottom fermenter?

I lift it out and set it on the top of the Keezer.

I would like to get two into each of my 7cu chest freezers. The recessed part is 24" long, so if the bases are flare down enough it may be possible to squeeze both in and leave space for the top of each fermenter lengthwise.

Already two 7.9g buckets fit in at the level of the compressor "hump" so if only one SS will fit then there will be wasted space for fermentation and would be better in a 4cu.

When I was on the site and reading the faqs the "exact-dimensions" were asked for. The reply was short, unthoughtful and disappointing and an already listed "20.5" H x 12.5" W"... which is a terrible answer.

That probably cost them some sales as the unit obviously has irregular dimensions. I'm not buying without knowing that they will fit.

Where did you mount your fans at?  Top bottom or would it really not matter that's the last thing I have to get before the weekend to ferment my first batch with full control over temps.

Right in the door for the freezer.

goddammit. This is cooler than our basement. 8) When the wine fridges die, I'll have to keep this in mind. I love the window on the wine fridges I have, but buying one of those new right now is absurd. Making your own window is a great idea.

I was wondering how much clearance you have between the top of the brew bucket and the door?  Was the cutout necessary to accommodate this?  The reason I ask as I am in the process of finding a mini fridge for my build and have the same brew bucket.

I don't know what that measurement is, however the cutout was not necessary. Purely Aesthetic.
