Yeah, I remember getting a beer-o-the-month club thing for the first time and getting to try SN. I was blown away by it - didn't know what the brewing terms meant, just that the beer was way the hell better. I couldn't wait to figure out how.

Any one else remember when SN was twist off caps?

Yep.

Heck, wasn't even that long ago.

I'll have to check, I think I have a 2008 Bigfoot with a twist off cap.

I think it was 2009.

Edit - 2007   I knew it was after I started brewing.

2008 was the first year they used the pryoff o2 barrier caps. I did a verticle bigfoot tasting 05-14 and the difference between 05-07 and 08 was night and day. the 08 tasted almost fresh compared to the older vintages.

Ken, I can do one better, but no picture. In 1990 or so, I worked at BW3 as GM. We got a 7 foot tall cardboard cut out of the Rumpleminze Vixen and had her just inside the entrance of our house. Very cheesy, but also a lot of fun back I  those days. Some great drunken photos, wish I still had them

Thanks, now I don't have to dig through my box of Bigfoot. 2008 was the first year I cellared it.

My friend used to call Rumpleminze + Yaegermeister a "Screaming Nazi". Had way too many of those back in the day.

No thanks, I was busy drinking " Irish Car Bombs". Much, much tastier I think.
