Picnic Faucet Alternatives

I'm curious if something like this would be better for home-serving instead of a planned picnic style faucet. Thoughts?

With picnic taps and the right length of line your carbonation pressure and serving pressure can be the same. The problem with one of those is that the serving pressure for one of those is very low.

Good point. Additionally the more I think about it, having to use that inside of a chest freezer would be a PITA.

Best replacement for the picnic tap is a shank and a Perlick. Enjoy pouring as much as drink. With or without the flow control just works great. Never leaks.
If it ain't broke let me have a go at it.

IME, the flow control ones are very difficult to keep from leaking around that itty bitty side seal. We ended up replacing all of ours with regular Perlicks.

I saw this recently: hand held faucet with flow control.

Note: I have never seen one or used one.
