The list of chemicals that require a warning:

My best guess is that the keg contains anabolic steroids.

Not to go down the rabbit hole but I'm fairly certain it's a smidgen of lead on the brass pieces of the couplers.

At least I've been warned in case I keel over midway through the first keg!

Could be the plastic contains a phthalate?  Without knowing more, it seems that labeling products under Prop 65 that are clearly intended to be used for food service isn't "kosher."

If you're using brass, I'm sure that is the case. According to Palmer, brass contains small amounts of lead for machineabilty reasons.

Even the stainless steel couplers have the warning.

Your best chance at determining why a prop 65 warning is on the products is to contact the manufacturer and ask. It may be the case that a prop 65 chemical was used in the manufacturing process but is not still on or in the product. It may be the case that the manufacturer puts the warning on all their products just in case a prop 65 chemical was used in or on the product.

My guess would be it's because of something in the rubber gaskets in the connectors.

Nearly everything has a prop 65 warning.  Doesn't mean much

So Keg Connection lists these same parts as food safe, NSF certified. Of course they aren't located in California.

If I buy these parts outside California...It sounds like I might live a little bit longer...

Also...wondering where to buy these stickers..so I can put them on things at work...
