Rubber Handle Kegs
« on: May 10, 2015, 10:54:32 am »
Just cleaning off my shiny new rubber handled keg (Keg Connection, NSF, Italian) and I noticed black residue coming off the handles. Should I try to scrub this off or leave it be?

Am I crazy or do these rubber handles have a sweet smell to them?

I've got two rubber topped kegs, and yes, I do notice an odd sweet smell sometimes...I think it's starsan + that black rubber.
Corn is a fine adjunct in beer.

I've tried to clean the black rubber.  It's not really possible.
