mash tun
« on: May 18, 2015, 08:08:57 pm »
Looking at buying new brew gear and checking out coolers. I see Igloo has a new 55qt black and red one out. Anyone have experience with a black tun? What efficiencies are you getting using black over blue? Denny?

I wouldn't think the outside color makes any different.

Black is for dark beers, blue is for light.

Yep, plus no stuck sparges in a blue. Best part is the extra 10% efficiency.

It has been proven that by using  blue cooler you get 135% efficiency.  Every 10 brews, a bag of grain magically appears in your garage.
