Chet Atkins on PBS
« on: May 25, 2010, 10:50:43 am »
There's an old Chet Atkins special being shown on PBS these days.  Chet is one sweet guitar player.  Mark Knopfler, Emmylou Harris, Waylon and Willie and many others are on hand.  I really like the old Chet Atkins/ Mark Knopfler stuff.  Here's a link to a preview on YouTube-> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGecqjN7ZQQ

Fortunately, Michael MacDonald only "Michael's it up" a little bit (I'm not a fan as everything he's involved in just sounds like him).  I think PBS is still rebroadcasting this special at odd hours.  I highly recommend the DVR for this one.

Chet Atkins- Certified Guitar Player?  Hell Yeah!
