In case anyone is thinking about rushing a brew. 8^(
« on: June 04, 2015, 12:27:26 pm »
I was in a rush a couple of months back in my brewing schedule and decided a wheat beer that was in the primary was "done enough" because I needed the carboy.  I went ahead and kegged it.  You would think I'd have learned this lesson by now, but I am now serving a keg of foam.  At least until I can get the excess CO2 purged and actually pour some liquid.   ::)

The beer tastes good if use a spoon to drink it.  I thought everyone could use a chuckle.   ;D

Where the heck are we going?  And what's with this hand basket?

I'm not chuckling at the over-carb'd keg, but the image of my head of you sipping your beer from a spoon is hilarious.

You can reduce the carbonation by disconnecting the gas then releasing pressure, wait, release again, repeat. In a day or two it will be about right.

Thanks!  That's what I did.  It's pouring well now.

It had been quite awhile since I had had it happen.  It made me laugh so I thought I'd share.  8^)

Thanks for sharing, Paul. In fact something eerily similar happened to me not long after I started kegging.  ;D

I have done this. Too many times, actually. In my case, however, it was because I was impatient and wanted to drink the beer. And considering my continued inability to control myself I am sure I will fall prey to this again...
