Need help with the math!
« on: June 10, 2015, 06:08:32 pm »
I know it is a pretty basic calculation... shame on me!   :-[

I've tried several formulas but I am not convinced.

My OG was 1.055 and a week and half later it turned to 1.017 measured at 68F for a total of 5.1% approx. Approximated volume of 5 Gals.

I then added 16oz of 1.032 belgian sugar.

How much ABV will I have now? How much did it increase from the 1.017 with the sugar addition?

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks

32 gravity points in 5gal.  32/5 is about 6.4 addd to your OG.
