Heat Sticks
« on: May 27, 2010, 08:11:09 am »
I am not much of a DIY guy and I definately don't want to mess with electricity.   Does any one know of any homebrewsupply shops that sell heat sticks for electric brewing simlar to these?

Look for a "bucket heater" like one of these: http://www.google.com/products?client=safari&rls=en&q=bucket+Heater&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=uI3-S-H1NsT38AaHrdisDQ&sa=X&oi=product_result_group&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CC4QzAMwAA - make sure it can bring the water to a  boil, some only heat to 110 degrees or so. I got one of these a couple years ago and I have used it in conjunction with my digital ranco to preheat my dough in water. Takes a few hours though so its a good idea to set it up over night.
