elburko25's bio
« on: June 15, 2015, 06:38:47 PM »
Hey AHA Forum!

My name is Myles, a bunch of you probably already know my wife AmandaK. I figured it was just a matter of time before I got on the boards here. I spend a lot of time brewing/drinking with her at our home bar ((aka the Penalty Box) you've probably also seen pics of it). I enjoy brewing for the sheer creativity of making strange brews that I enjoy for myself as well as a few traditional styles like hefeweizens and dry stouts to name a few. I've been brewing since Amanda taught me how to in 2012. I'm thinking I'm going to start trying my hand at  making mead as well as brewing.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard Myles. Yes the pics Amanda has posted of the brewery and homestead/tap room are gorgeous. I can see the energy and enjoyment the 2 of you obviously get from the hobby by what you put into it

Welcome Myles.  Met you guys briefly in Grand Rapids and I've sent entries to the KCBM comp the past 2 years.

Does Amanda call the bar the "batters box" since she seems more of a baseball fan?

Nah, he let me keep the "Redbird Brewhouse" as the brewery name, so "The Penalty Box" is the bar name.  ;)

Also I'm internet illiterate today and haven't quite figured how to insert a photo. (I read Gary's post after the fact and need to return to work ;)

Hey, Myles! Nice to meet you. I think that you are a lucky guy, like myself, who has a wife who brews and loves homebrew. Truly a marriage made in Heaven.
