RIMS Tube / Kit
« on: July 25, 2015, 06:15:34 am »
Does anyone know why no retailers will sell a "all-in-one" RIMS tube kit?

It seems like you have to buy the tube, element, probe, controller and wiring all separate.

Or does anyone have a detailed equipment list they used for their RIMS tube?

Blichmann makes their rims rocket.

I think the primary reason is they do not want to accept liability. The secondary reason is it allows folks to build what they need vs going with a one-size approach.

I saw a U Tube video on one and they sell the parts. Not sure why they don't come pre assembled.

Yes, but if you read the comments, you'll notice that he doesn't list ALL the parts needed. His parts list excludes the element itself, temp probe, and controller.

Not trying to be lazy here, but if someone has a "soup-to-nuts" parts list, I would be ever grateful.

Check high gravity brewing. They have a ton of great parts options.

I am sure if you send them a note or call them they'll give details.
