My Homebrew Wedding
« on: June 29, 2015, 11:12:22 am »
http://ericbrews.com/2015/04/16/how-to-pull-off-a-homebrew-wedding/

I thought I would start off in this new forum with the first post! I just read AmandaBK's article, very well written, and a very impressive accomplishment!

I did a similar thing for my wedding near Toronto, Canada. I navigated the liquor rules, brewed 15 unique batches for the reception (I picked the best 11 to bring), got some homegrown hops (resin sealed) integrated into the bouquet and boutineers, worked out the logistics of the brewing schedule, and of serving kegs at a venue with no draft system.

I wrote it all up in a blog post a while ago, so I linked to it above.

Yes! Very nice article on the AHA website. Thanks for illustrating how it can be done Amanda and Myles. The event really looks nice in the photos.

Eric! Always good to run into you. Thank you again for motivating me to drag out all the pictures for the original write up on Reddit.

Martin, we had a blast at the wedding. We actually got the opportunity to invite a good number of our club members, which made it even more special. :)

Nice job! You are very ambitious.

I noticed on the pictures of your jockey box build that you had some red plugs to close off the unused ports on your cold plate; where'd you get those and what exactly are they? I have a six port cold plate and would like to do the same thing--make a jockey box with four taps max. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Looked like a great time! Were all the beers on the TV rotators?

I don't know where to get them on their own, they just came with it. Ordered it from chicompany.net, not sure if they still carry them I couldn't find them on their site when I went back to look a while ago.

The list of beers on the TV wasn't in any particular order, we had a 4 tap jockey box and a "On Tap" sign next to the bar. I gave the bartenders an order for each tap to put the kegs on as they kicked. So in a way it was a kind of rotation, but once the beers were gone they were gone.
