Right?!?! When I moved here I had to drive 20 minutes to buy liquor and the liquor store sold "glass tube roses" (cheap meth pipes with fake flowers in them), yet I can't have a flask without paperwork.

I bought all 5 of my flasks here. I might be on a list, but Jade Helm is in town...

But do you need to be on that list? I'm no libertarian, but I think it's bs.

I got a call from the FBI after ordering sulfuric acid.  Despite the fact that the lab I was running was in a trailer, I never hear from the FBI again.

I find the whole thing to be crazy as well. My LHBS in Fort Worth has all kinds of flasks. Mchrispen you had me on the floor with Jade Helm. I've been hearing so much bs about Jade Helm, but it still completely caught me off guard to see it here. It's crazy how people in a big city with a big military base can get so crazy about a military routine.

Just another intrusive and ineffective law to support the War on Drugs.
Don't let the bastards cheer you up.

There was a shop in Texas--I think in San Antonio--that was ratted out to DPS and received a visit.

FWIW in Texas in addition to the permit requirement to purchase and own a flask one must also follow strict storage and accounting regulations that include keeping it under lock and key when not in use. I'm not making this up.

There is a HBS in the Fort Worth area (Foreman's) that has or had a sign up next to the iodophor instructing people that this is not the iodine you need to make meth and asked that people not steal it.
Heck yeah I blog about homebrewing: Brain Sparging on Brewing

Hmmm. The list. Guess I am used to such things. But yeah, it is ridiculous, but easy then to build on charges in a real arrest. I have asked a cop I know about it, he just laughed. So if I get busted for meth or K2 or other stupid crap which I would never consider, then I am screwed. Not the demographic or neighborhood so I should be good.

Still waiting for a navy seal sniper to crawl across my lawn in a gilly suit, cause that would be awesome. Wonder if I could pour him a beer, cause it's hot out there!
