I'm heading to Munich in the fall. Now I know what to avoid :)

The fall?

Autumn.
Harvest.
Anti-spring.

Mega biergarten factory. They first fill the glasses with foam, and then slide them on to a second tap to fill then with the liquid beer. Budweiser Budvar. Tasty in its untasty way.

Sounds like you're rounding up the places I should not visit, come anti-spring. :)

Ah yes, and stay away from Austrian wine

To conclude:  beer is so-so, wine is so-so,  but beer aged in wine barrels is fantastic:

My favorite beers in Vienna were definitely the weissbiers.  There was always a fresh one to be found on tap.
