My main issue is you can go hours or even days without a reply on HBT. It's one of the most lifeless forums I've been on.

On the issue with cans...I hate most canned beer because of the design of the can (except for Mike Hess Brewing...I wish all breweries had this can design....basically the whole lid comes off so you can drink it like you poured the beer into a glass). Maybe I don't know how to pour from a can anymore, but it always rushes out no matter how careful I am....I'm not a fan of head in my beer.

UPDATE: The can and bottle thread is now up to 15 pages and they have graduated from discussing drinking from cans and are now discussing the finer points of smoking from cans....
That thread is out of control/ridiculous/entertaining

Well in this age of widespread availability of all manner of space age gizmos for smoking its nice to hear that the kids are still smoking out of cans and playing vinyl records. Next thing you know they'll be getting off to still photographs.
Don't let the bastards cheer you up.

Smoking from a can is a terrible idea. One wrong move and your tobacco goes all over the place. Is it that hard to find some papers or aluminum foil?

Maybe he decided he really loved HBT after all and had to delete his account here as a penance.

After many years of Denny telling me that all the best stuff is on the AHA forum, I am also migrating over here.  I have followed links to this forum many times and I recognize a lot of the names here from other forums so I feel like I know many of you already and I know that there are a lot of great brewers here.  My screen name may not be recognized but I know a lot of people here which is always good.  Cheers Beerheads!

Welcome !  You'll probably find the tone here is a lot more civil, and the info quality is top notch.

I recently found myself "over" homebrewtalk.  The community is simply too large, and the bigger the crowd the lower IQ.  I tried to start a discussion to see if anyone else found Beersmith's interface to be clunky (was wondering if I just didn't "get it") and got berated by some jackass claiming I couldn't handle it because I was in the "iPad Generation."  Sorry, the first iPad came out when I was in my late 20's and as an engineer I use technical software all the time.  It just rubbed me the wrong way.
