BJCP 2015 - Fruit in an IPA?
« on: June 01, 2016, 05:43:41 pm »
I'm entering my first Homebrew contest. It's an IPA only contest. I added pineapple and orange to the secondary for half of the batch of the IPA I brewed. Will I be able to enter the fruit treated IPA into the contest in addition to the regular IPA?  I know that there is a fruit beer category in the BJCP 2015 guidelines, but since this is an IPA only contest, I can't enter it as a fruit beer.  Thanks for any help.

You should ask your competition organizer.
There may be a "Specialty IPA" category that is a cover-all for beers like yours.
If not, don't bother entering it into a "normal" IPA category.  Save it for another competition, or just drink and enjoy it.
