I was in London for 2 days this summer on my honeymoon and I gotta say the beer was great. Prior to london I never had a engine drawn pint and my first was great. Its a little hard as an American to sit down with what I/we would normally consider a warm and flat beer and drink it merrily but if you put your beer connoisseur hat on it can be pretty good although this is not the time to nurse your beer. Oh, and for whatever reason they call anything served cold via Co2 a lager, though I'm pretty sure there are plenty of ales in the mix but I made no attempt to correct anyone.

Some of those are historic, and we have been to the Olde Cheshire Cheese. There are other walks that have Pubs with a better range of beers. The Ted Bruning book is a good start as is the Camera Guide. Just saying.
