And not just on the internet. Brewing books are very much like that, too. Like I said in the article I wrote for Marshall, too many authors simply parrot the conventional wisdom without trying things for themselves. Just because it's in a book doesn't necessarily mean it's true.

Also liked the batch sparge article. Have you tried combining no sparge brewing with an overnight mash? Saves a hell of a lot of time. It works for me and makes me wonder who thought up the dubious liquor to grist ratio rules.
