Derek from Syracuse. Again!
« on: September 30, 2015, 06:24:07 PM »

beersk just did a little Sherlock Holmes work and realized I was back under a new username. I must have somehow fat fingered the delete account button!

I am still a husband, father, electrical design engineer and Belgian beer lover. For all of those who interacted with me when I had the Derek username, thanks for all the help and info!

My setup has morphed a bit to fit my small batches (~1 gal.):

1/2 Gallon glass jug (shaken not stirred starters)
1 Gallon glass jugs (fermenter)
2 Gallon Coleman Stacker cooler mash tun w/ HD fittings (i'll be refitting everything soon to simplify outlet)
3 Gallon cheapo stainless brew kettle
2 burner countertop electric stove
dial thermometer (soon to be digital pen style)

I am looking to get a small mini fridge on the cheap for my 1 Gal fermenter and will be setting up a dual stage STC-1000.

Admit it, you wanted to return to HBT and felt like you were cheating on them by keeping your account here.

We all know how much you love HBT.
Heck yeah I blog about homebrewing: Brain Sparging on Brewing

:o I want to go back there like I want to take a swim in my septic tank.

I'm much happier with the exchange of ideas and info here. I'm 30 years old, married, with a career and another child on the way. I just don't have the time to sift through the B.S. for good information.
