Apparently, they'll take Canadians too.  Or at least they took my money.  I'm sure my beer will get better quickly.

Did they let you pay in loonies? ;)

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but can anybody tell me if you renew your membership early, will the next renewal date be from the date of the new (early) renewal, or from the original month/day?

It just adds another year from the expiration date.  You don't lose any days.

Cool, thanks, Hokerer.

I just finally got my email receipt for my membership. Took a week. They said it is shipped. What are they shipping other than my magazine? I didn't purchase for the discounts. I did so as a donation to the home brew lobby. But I am looking forward to seeing the magazine.

You'll get a membership card and some stickers and I can't remember what else they throw in there.  A pamphlet listing the pubs that participate in the discount program I think.

The "shipping" statement on your receipt is auto-generated by our database. It basically means that your order was entered into the database. If you had purchased merchandise, it would mail out that day. It's an old system that we're replacing as we speak (write??).

Soon, you'll be able to purchase a membership and it will go right into the database, like magic!!!

I got my membership receipt over a month ago, but still no card or magazine or anything.  I have a # already, which is dandy so I can use it to get the VIP at GABF this year, but wouldn't mind flashing for some discounts too.

Any ideas on what happened?

Usually takes a few weeks to get your card and the magazine is mailed out on scheduled mailings. Try contacting Kathryn Porter for further info. She may check in here as she does every so often.

How did you get your number. I would like to use one to link my forum membership with my AHA membership.

If you need your member number keep for eyes on your email for a welcome email. Soon after your membership is processed, you'll get an official welcome email from the AHA. It's all fancy html (looks like the website) and has your 9-digit member number listed at the top.

If you  just can't wait, you can always email info@brewersassociation.org.

Zymurgy mails every other month, so sometimes it seems like a while before you get your first one. The next issue mails around June 17ish and the list for that will likely be pulled close to the first of June. If you're membership is in before June, you should get that one. You would have needed an active membership by the first of April to get the May/June issue.

cheers!

The magazine makes the membership totally worth it.  I think I know you from somewhere.   ;)
