I Just joined a few weeks ago.  Ever since joining, I've been using and browsing the site more, been super excited waiting on my first issue of Zymurgy, and even got a free book with my membership, which I've been reading through.

Well worth the what, 3 bucks a month?  Access eZymurgy is also nice.

I am a member. I moved to Mississippi 5 years ago and discovered there were still states where it was illegal to homebrew. AHA helped change that. AHA President Gary Glass came to MS and met with homebrewers and legislators. Shortly after our law was changed.  I really appreciate Gary's help and will stay an AHA member for life.

PS. The grass roots campaign headed by our "Raise your pints" led the way. I am a lifetime (aka Growler) member of that organization also.

I keep on feeling the tug to join.  I think I may, I think I might.  Maybe tomorrow.  Really, I think I will.  Soon.  I feel like I owe it to homebrewers, and to this forum, to be able to say that I am an AHA member.  Yeah, I really should.  I'll update this thread after it's official.

When i first started brewing i just put up for a year, i will likely join for life when i get the spare cash to do so, but i will never let the membership lapse.  Zymurgy is a great read and i love brewing so ill support the AHA because of the good work they do(books, legal issues etc etc)
cheers

My fiancé and I both have AHA memberships. I believe that they are valid until 2016 or something like that.

When it's up for renewal, we are going with the Lifetime membership. Do we get a cool sticker for that?? :P

We just renewed for three years. Each time I think we should do lifetime.

Woohoo.  Your secret decoder ring should arrive next week

I would love to join but, don't know which would be a good membership for me since I just started homebrewing  8) ;D

Start with one year, find AHA deals nearby and watch for AHA Rallies in your area.  After the first year, you can decide how you want to proceed.

sign up for a year. Benefits of membership are discussed early in this thread. If you use the benefits, you will realize that the cost:benefit ratio is low. I say the membership pays for itself.
