Repitching: Low OG to High OG?

I'm trying to plan a Belgian run (Single/Patersbier to BDSA) using WY3787 and was just curious: Is it generally best practice to repitch from the lower OG beer to the higher?

I am thinking of brewing the Single first, then repitching from that for a partigyle Tripel/Single, then into a Dubbel and finally a Dark Strong. Then I figure I'll pitch it and start with a fresh pack of yeast the next go round.

I always pitch from lower OG to a higher OG because the yeast can be a bit stressed out from higher OG beers. With that said, it might not make that much of a difference. A buddy of mine made a Pale ale with a 1st and a 10th generation 1056 and we could not tell the difference between the two. The 10th generation yeast was used for low and high gravity beers in no particular order. Maybe other yeast strains would be more susceptible for differences.

Best practice, yes. If there's no reason to brew the beers in any other order, that's the way to go. I've never had any trouble repitching from beers up to maybe 7% ABV though.
