Jaded Hydra
« on: October 29, 2015, 12:25:27 pm »
Does anyone have specs for the Jaded Hydra?  I want to know length and diameter of the copper.  I can't seem to find this online.  It looks like 3 25' runs in parallel just from the photo.  Not sure about diameter though.

The Hydra is basically made of 3 strands of 1/2″ copper tubing.

I just used my hydra for the first time last night. Granted the weather was much cooler than my earlier brew days (I live in SoCal) but it cooled the wort down quite nicely. First time I saw a true cold break in my wort. I used a pre chiller also, but I've never had a cold break so quickly as last night.
