Refractometer problem
« on: November 15, 2015, 08:19:45 am »
My refractometer has what appears to be a big water droplet inside. Of course the drop is right in the normal OG area of the scale. This is the second brew day with spot in the meter so it did not dry up for 2 weeks since the first sighting.  Any ideas?

I believe the refract should unscrew in half so where you can access the backside of the lens and brix scale.

Thanks for the Idea...got it apart...It looks like it is a flaw inside the sealed unit that you put your eye up to. Guess I need a new one...oh well
