Home Made Trout Caviar
« on: November 14, 2015, 10:49:37 am »
Ok....flame suit ON.....here is a pic of my breakfast.  I caught 2 20" rainbow hens
yesterday and the roe was just so beautiful I could NOT waste it...hence...the following...
I made some caviar from the roe and the worst part was the separation of  eggs from membrane.
But the best part was breakfast of rye toast butter and .....caviar  8)

Today I am canning the trout flesh for beer and cracker adventures

That looks nice! My cousin makes some every year from Lake Superior Trout and Salmon. My favorite combo is Melba Toast, Cream Cheese, Caviar, and a slice of green onion.

I would be happy to but that wouldn't be until next fall. This year we only found a couple due to a dry fall I presume. Btw what if BFE?

Had to, ironically given its meaning, look it up in the urban dictionary. Growing up the next town over was East Brook field which was even more rural so it was affectionately known as East Bumf*#k.
