I've made/entered their recipe; 44 pts under the old BSDA number. No one blinked an eye at the color fwiw.

Nice work!  I was going to echo too not to worry about color.  I have entered some fairly dark old ales and BDSA's which I feared would be too dark for style and judges did not even think twice about it.
